The Center for Human Rights Study and Coordination, Southern Border Provinces was established under the cooperation between the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Thailand, Office of the National Human Rights Commission, together with each regional institutions of Thailand. Its objectives are to provide the citizens with excessive ways to access the protection and promotion of human rights, take effective steps to investigate violations of human rights promptly and quickly, and execute smooth coordination between the National Human Rights Commission with various sectors in the area. Besides, it’s expected to provide a chance to the regional center to take part and contribute their center in providing knowledge and understanding about human rights to their citizens. Also, it will be able to function as the regional Data collection and Data analysis center of Human rights. With this function, this center will be responsible as a study and research solving center for human rights problems in the area in which there will be able to promote human rights activities and mobilize local human rights network partners to perform human rights work within the region.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Thailand has prioritized the operation, and the projects worked by the Center for Human Rights Study. The restructuring and division of the internal government work of the NHRC are adjusted and managed by established a regional human rights study and coordination workgroup working with the staff at the Center for Human Rights Study and Coordination in driving the regional operations and reaching the purpose effectively and intended.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has established the Center for Human Rights Study and Coordination on June 24, 2014, at the Faculty of Political Science, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, Pattani Province. The establishment aimed to be the center of human rights coordination in the southern border provinces to promote and protect local people's rights and liberties and easily and conveniently accessible. NHRC also has appointed a committee for the administration of the Center for Education and Human Rights Coordination of southern border provinces on June 27, 2019. Complaints:
